Gary Anderson has sought treatment ahead of the new PDC season beginning with the Masters taking place in Milton Keynes next weekend. This comes after a humbling defeat to Michael van Gerwen at the PDC World Championship.
As Anderson said in an interview with Live Darts, it has been bad for the last 18 months and due to a long year of tournaments, he has taken steps for his longevity.
“The back has been bad for 18 months now. It’s not good at all to be honest,” said Anderson.
“I’ve had no option but to try and get it sorted. It was getting progressively worse, to the point where I couldn’t go for double top in a match because it was giving me grief.
“It’s a long year ahead and a lot of tournaments. The most important thing now is to try and get fit.
